Recognised expertise in marine applications

For over 10 years, HYD&AU FLUID has successfully operated in this sector of many branches: yachting, transport and working vessels, pontoons, barges, etc.

Spotlight on the MBDA Group:

Global leader in missile systems with more than 90 armed forces worldwide as customers, MBDA is the only global player in Europe capable of designing and producing missiles and missile systems to meet a whole range of present and future operational needs of the land, naval and air forces.

In total, the Group offers a range of 45 missile system programmes in operational service and over 15 more are under development.

With its industrial locations in 5 European countries and in the USA, and relying on a highly qualified, 10,000-strong workforce, MBDA turned over €2.9 billion in 2015.

The HYD&AU solution:

HYD&AU FLUID helped MBDA to design on-board systems including:

  • hydraulic power unit
  • propulsion hydraulics
  • electrical cabinet
  • connections

All of these systems were designed for a catamaran type of boat, enabling the installation of a surface-to-air missile on a firing simulation platform at a depth of 30 metres.

We have two main strengths, explains Fabrice Barral, Sales Engineer responsible for marine applications:

“First of all, our ability to supply turnkey systems, ranging from hydraulic generation and the electrical cabinets to connection and the receiver. Furthermore, we have asserted ourselves as a service provider, in particular with our pipe activity. To this end, we do not hesitate to call upon the additional expertise of VERAFLEX (stainless steel cylinders) and SAMELEC (electrical cabinets), two other companies in our HYD&AU Group. »
Our expertise in yachting:

Our company was recently entrusted with key projects in yachting.

It helped to construct some fifteen large luxury yachts for a specialist naval yard, and more recently conducted a study for a bow and stern thruster project for a 44-metre long speedboat.
